Forms of communication


Messages, ideas, suggestions etc. are the subject matter of communication. They are abstract and intangible, their transmission and receipt require the use or certain symbols. The symbols may be:-

  1. Verbal Communication symbol
  2. Non-Verbal Communication symbol

Each of these symbols may be either used exclusively, that is to the complete exclusion of others, or as is very commonly the case, two or more of these can be used to supplement each other.
