Simple regression method

Regression analysis determines mathematically the regression line of best fit. It is based on the principle that the sums of square of the vertical deviations from the line established is the least possible i.e. ∑(y – ŷ)2 is minimized where y is the observed value and ŷ is the predicted value. The equation can be solved by the use of normal equations;
