Working within a pluralistic society (i.e. a society in which many organized groups in existence represent various interests) has several implications for business:
I. Business power is kept in balance various groups, such as environmental groups.
II. Business interests can be expressed joining groups such as the Chamber of Commerce.

III. Business participates in projects with other responsible groups for the purpose of bettering society e.g. working towards the renewal of inner cities.
IV. In a pluralistic society, there can be a conflict or agreement among groups.
V. In a pluralistic society, one group is quite aware of what other groups are doing.
